While not in front of jurors, SBF took the stand and testified last Thursday. The move was effectively a practice run so that Judge Kaplan could determine what elements of Bankman-Fried’s testimony would be admissible. The day was. . . interesting, to say the least.
After providing testimony on Thursday, SBF took the stand in front of an actual jury on Friday. As expected, SBF took the position that he did not intend to defraud. Instead, he “made a number of mistakes.”
The verdict:
This case is truly all over the place. While we can’t say for sure how it will end, we do expect a pretty entertaining documentary or mini-series to come out of it.
